Diagnosis
Project description
Diagnosis within the framework of maintenance and software development (time estimation and programming of extensions) as well as testing of various functions.
Objective/customer benefit
- Reduction in error frequency
- Management of errors which occur in order to lead to recognition, handling and documentation of a problem
Solution
- Adjustment parameter (coding, adjustment channels)
Reading and writing of coding and adjustment channels. In this way the software is adapted to a specific vehicle. - Readout of various measured data
- Error memory (diagnostic trouble code, DTC for short)
Recording, reading and deleting of problems which occur under certain conditions. - Component protection
Training of a headunit - process where the headunit is calibrated exactly to a specific vehicle. Blocking of the headunit in the case of improper use. - Ring break diagnosis
- Reading and writing of individual memory cells in EEPROM
- Analysis of any malfunctions occurring
- Identification if the error is caused by operating error or other control device
- Analysis of MOST/CAN traces (communication and interaction of the control devices involved), IRC logs, error memory entries and source code
- Carrying out of tests to reproduce the malfunction
- Simulation and analysis
