Steffen Fromm

Managing Partner

Steffen Fromm studied computer science at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserlautern after his apprenticeship as a bank clerk. He first worked for Fiducia IT AG and later as a technical consultant for IDS Scheer AG in Saarbrücken before joining comlet in 2001. At comlet, he started as a project manager in software development and finally took over the department management of dialog systems, a bit later the management of central departments and the department management of embedded systems. While working, he completed a degree in General Management at the St. Gallen Business School in Switzerland. In 2006 Steffen Fromm was interim managing director of Archi3D Sp. Z o.o in Poznan, Poland. Since 2007 he is managing partner of comlet Verteilte Systeme GmbH.

Henrik Becker

Managing Director

After studying computer science at the University of Kaiserslautern, Henrik Becker initially worked as a software developer and project manager at comlet. In addition to being head of the dialog systems department, which he took over in 2007, he spent almost 10 years as project manager, technology consultant and business contact for comlet customers in different industries. The intensive exchange with customers let him take over the management of sales at comlet in 2015. In the same year, he became an authorized signatory. From 2016 to 2023, Henrik Becker was responsible for marketing, sales and project management. He has been managing director of comlet Verteilte Systeme GmbH since 2024.

Prof. Dr. Manuel Duque-Antón

Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Duque-Antón studied computer science at RWTH Aachen University and received his doctorate in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg in 1995. From 1985 to 1998 he was employed at the Philips research laboratories in Hamburg and Aachen. During this time he carried out various projects in the field of applied computer science and telecommunications. Manuel Duque-Antón has represented Philips in various international committees and has been a member of the steering groups of several EU projects. In 1998, he accepted an appointment at the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern to teach “Communication Networks and Distributed Systems”. Manuel Duque-Antón is a reviewer for relevant journals, national R&D programs and conferences in the area of networking and security.

Prof. Dr. Manh Tien Tran

Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Manh Tien Tran studied computer science at the Technical University of Braunschweig. From 1987 to 1995 he was a research assistant as Akademischer Rat a. Z. at the Institute of Mathematics at the University of Hildesheim, where he received his PhD in 1995. His doctorate was awarded the Award of the University Foundation of Hildesheim. From 1995 to 1998 he was employed as a software developer at BOSCH Blaupunkt. In 1999, he moved to Harman Becker, where he was responsible for software architecture until 2000. Since 2000 he has been a professor for programming languages and programming techniques at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern at the Zweibrücken location. Together with Prof. Dr. Joachim Wietzke, he wrote the book “Automotive Embedded Systems: Efficient Framework – From Design to Implementation” in 2005, published by Springer-Verlag.
